Electrifying Impact is a recording, mixing and mastering studio managed by Kamilė Rimkutė. She was highly inspired by Mandy Parnell and seeing her talk in Ableton Loop 2017 made her realize the strong attraction she felt for the process of mastering. At the time, she was studying psychology and deliberately shifted her studies towards psycho-acoustics. Conducting elaborate experiments on pitch perception and loudness perception helped to develop a meticulous attention to detail in sound.
The training of the ear continued during her studies in Sonology Institute at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague (2018-2021).
Mastering for Kamile is a continuous learning process. Besides learning mastering perspectives from other fellow women in the field, through platforms such as Saffron or soundgirls.org, she learns everyday by just doing it. Every album brings a new sound with a new artist behind it. Communication is the main tool towards a result that emotionally translates what the artist had in mind with their music. Ultimately, Kamile enjoys the opportunity to elevate the music of emerging artists in the scene and in that way bring her knowledge back into the community.
